A good guide makes a trip great - a first class guide creates memories that last lifetime. You'll experience your trip with a leadership team who are local, experienced and know more than simple where to go and what to ride. We make sure our trip leaders are engaging, pro-active, passionate, can read the room and are simply a whole lot of fun to be around.
We understand the importance of a good nights rest. We have carefully chosen only locally owned 3 and 4 star hotels and comfortable unique lodges WITH PLENTY OF SPACE. We understand the importance of a place to unwind, so not only have we chosen accommodation that suits, we also stay in locations that allow you to get away from the masses.
While you won’t be glamming it up at the Ritz (that’s not our style), you’ll enjoy a comfortable accommodation with amazing local hosts.
Arriving in Christchurch is simple. International flights into New Zealand arrive into Auckland, where you can easily add a domestic flight to Christchurch. Because this tour begins mid morning, we recommend you arrive by 10am at the latest on day 1. The tour ends in Christchurch on Day 12. We arrive back in Christchurch by 11am, so you'll need to schedule outbound flights from Christchurch AFTER 1PM.
There are numerous flights leaving throughout the day, returning to Auckland. Talk to us about flight arrangements – we’re here to help!
This trip is considered to be moderate. Some hike days (see each days description) entail little elevation gain on wide even trails, where as a couple of trails entail some steep elevation gains on narrower trails which require a good level of physical fitness. If you are in the habit of taking regular day hikes and you're in god shape, this is for you!
